About Kettle Lane

Kettle Lane is a small independent studio. We make the kind of books you reach for when the kettle is on and the afternoon is yours.

The lane has a few houses, each with its own imprint: Teacup & Pencil Pressfor large-print puzzles and cozy whodunits, Rose Kittredge for sweet small-town romance, and Nora Vane for gentle, practical calm-living books. Rose Kittredge and Nora Vane are pen names.

How we make our books

We use AI tools in our work, for writing and for cover art, and we say so on Amazon and here. We check every book before it is published: puzzle grids are verified by software (every word findable, every solution correct), stories go through editing passes, and we review printed proofs for size and comfort.
